1. FILL-OUT ONLINE FORM.
- Go to https://ssbt.edu.au/application-form/. Please fill out the form with all necessary details.
2. UPLOAD DOCUMENTS.
- Upload digital copy/photos of all required documents.
3. SUBMIT APPLICATION.
- Click ‘Submit’. After a few days, if you meet the academic and English requirements, we will send you a conditional or unconditional Offer Letter. If your application is unsuccessful, we will inform you in writing.
4. EXTRA ASSESSMENT.
- Applications from certain countries must undergo an additional assessment to meet Genuine Student (GS) Requirements and financial evidence requirements. Your Offer Letter outlines the steps.
Note: Do not pay any tuition fees until we inform you of the assessment outcome.
5. ENROLLMENT CONFIRMATION.
- We will process your acceptance and payment. For student visas, you will receive a Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) to include with your visa application, along with the SSBT -approved GS Letter as proof of meeting Genuine Student requirements. For online, non-CoE, or fast track students, we’ll send enrollment details online.
6. PREPARE FOR ARRIVAL.
- If studying on campus in Sydney, Brisbane, or Gold Coast, arrange travel and accommodation promptly upon receiving your student visa. Ensure you arrive in time for the compulsory International Student Orientation.

If you have completed the equivalent of Australian Year 10 or 11, you will most likely begin your studies at Certificate III level. If you have
completed the equivalent of Australian Year 12, you may start at Certificate IV or Diploma level. Each study area is different so please refer to the
specific course information located in the courses section of this guide.

Please note that entrance may also be possible for mature age students without the grades listed above, based on appropriate work experience.
Depending on your nationality, the Australian Department of Home Affairs might only accept a formal English language test result (such as IELTS,
Pearson Test of English, TOEFL) as proof of English competency for student visa purposes. Please refer to homeaffairs.gov.au/trav/visa-1/500-
for details.
Some courses may require a higher level of English i.e. Academic IELTS 6.0/7.0. You can find this information in the course section of
this guide.
Please note the Department of Home Affairs approved English tests are only valid for 2 years.

*On 26 July 2023 the TOEFL internet-based test (TOEFL iBT) stopped offering English language tests for Australian visa purposes. A score for a TOEFL iBT test taken on or after 26 July 2023 will no longer satisfy the English language requirement for Student visa purposes. Only TOEFL iBT scores from a test taken on or before 25 July 2023 are accepted for Student visa purposes.
**From 12 February 2024, only results from the paper-based Cambridge C1 Advanced test (previously known as Cambridge English: Advanced CAE) will be accepted for Australian visa and migration purposes. Test scores for both C1 Advanced paper-based and computer-based tests, taken before 12 February 2024, within the specified validity period are still accepted.
