Pathway Agreement between Browns English Language School and SSBT

BROWNS English Language School (BROWNS) to work in collaboration with Sydney School of Business and Technology to facilitate entry into Sydney School of Business and Technology from BROWNS English Language School programs.

This is to provide international students and their families with certainty when studying BROWNS English Language School’s programs by establishing an agreed framework for entry to Sydney School of Business and Technology.

To meet the English Language Entry criteria to enter Sydney School of Business and Technology, the following standards will be met, or their equivalent standards using other testing methods:

Academic IELTS Score Minimum overall score of 5.5 with no individual band score of less than 5.0

 Successful completion of one of the following courses:

English for Academic Purposes (EAP) Level 4 (CRICOS Code: 080398K)
Must have achieved an average of C or more for all skills overall – Duration 10 weeks.

IELTS Preparation (CRICOS Code: 091581J)

Must have achieved and average of 5.5 or more for all mock tests (in all skills) in the most recent five weeks. For reading and listening: 19-22 raw score (academic IELTS); for writing and speaking band scales 5.5 or more (up to 9, converted as percentage) – Duration: 10 weeks

Intensive General English – Upper-Intermediate (CRICOS Code: 076222B)

Successful completion of the IGE courses. Duration: 10 weeks.
