Pathway Agreement between Pacific English Study and SSBT
Pacific English Study is an Assessment Level 1 English school located in the heart of
Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast, welcoming students from around the world each year.
The school offers high-quality General English courses (Starter to Advanced) with
experienced teachers and flexible study options, including Day, Evening, and Condensed
timetables. Students also benefit from having no classes on Fridays, giving them more time
to work, explore, or relax.
With 18 years of experience on the Gold Coast, Pacific English Study has built a strong
reputation for delivering quality English education in a friendly and supportive environment.
The school follows the Cambridge Assessment teaching methodology, focusing on practical
communication skills, structured progress, and internationally recognised standards of
English learning.
In addition to classes, the school provides a range of free support services to help students
succeed both academically and personally. These include:
● Job Club: Guidance on creating a professional resume, preparing for job
interviews, and finding better job opportunities on the Gold Coast.
● Speaking Club: Extra sessions designed to help students improve their confidence
and fluency in spoken English through interactive conversations and activities.
● Student Counselor: Personal support and guidance to help students with academic
concerns, wellbeing, and adjusting to life in Australia.
Pacific English Study also offers a monthly calendar of social activities and events, giving
students many opportunities to practise English, make friends from different cultures, and
experience the Gold Coast lifestyle. Activities may include beach outings, city tours, cultural
events, and group gatherings — all just minutes from the beach.

● The Pacific English Study Cambridge IELTS exam preparation course is an ASQA-
accredited
course (0101559).
● The course is 20 hours face-to-face per week.
● Pacific English Study is an approved Cambridge IELTS Pre-testing school.
● The curriculum covers Cambridge IELTS Academic and General.
● Class sizes are a maximum of 18 students.
● Every week, students are assessed across the four macro-skills.
Details of the Cambridge General English Pathways Course
● The Pacific English Study Cambridge General English course is an ASQA-accredited
course (071778F).
● The course is 20 hours face-to-face per week.
● The Pacific English Study Cambridge curriculum covers Starter (A1) through to
advanced (C1).
● Class sizes are a maximum of 18 students.
● Students are assessed twice per week on progress unit tests.
● Students are graded on two larger tests, a mid-course exam and an end-of-course
exam that gives them their final grade and positions their English proficiency on the
CEFR.
